Kevin Spacey has formally come out as gay after years of hypothesis. Taking to Twitter the 58-year-old mentioned he has selected now to “live as a gay man.”
The timing of this coming-out message arrives after Kevin Spacey was once accused of creating a “sexual advance” in opposition to Star Trek and Rent actor Anthony Rapp.
Rapp’s allegations date again to 1986, when he was once a 14-year-old kid actor who had met a then 26-year-old Spacey.
Buzzfeed stories that Kevin Spacey “invited Rapp over to his apartment for a party, and, at the end of the night, picked Rapp up, placed him on his bed, and climbed on top of him, making a sexual advance.”
Rapp, now 46, instructed Buzzfeed: “He picked me up like a groom choices up the bride over the brink.”
“But I don’t, like, squirm away initially, because I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then he lays down on top of me. He was trying to seduce me.”
Rapp added that he controlled to break away, and sooner or later fled the condominium.
In his remark, Spacey addressed the allegations and mentioned that he was once “beyond horrified” to listen to Rapp’s account of sexual misconduct. The House of Cards megastar mentioned that he didn’t keep in mind the incident, but when it did occur, he “owes [Rapp] the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour.”
He additionally added it was once Rapp’s tale that had “encouraged [him] to address other things about [his] life.”
It’s value noting that many Twitter customers were not inspired with Spacey’s coming out tale and accused him of looking to divert consideration.
