Fashion clothier Donatella Versace has printed in an interview this week that she’s going to not use actual fur in any of her designs.
Announcing the transition of her Versace emblem to a completely fur-free label throughout an interview with The Economist’s 1843 mag, Donatella defined her reasoning in the back of the decision.
“Fur? I am out of that. I don’t want to kill animals to make fashion. It doesn’t feel right.”
Previously one of the vital emblem’s staple fabrics, the announcement marks a massively welcome and long-awaited transfer for the craze powerhouse.
Donatella is the newest in an extended line of designers and distributers who’ve dropped fur during the last 12 months.
Some of those that also are totally fur-free come with the likes of Michael Kors, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Vivienne Westwood, Hugo Boss, Armani, Net-a-Porter and – in fact – Stella McCartney.
